Legal Eye Academy Package

The Academy is an online training platform which has been developed specifically for law firms. Covering the essential elements around preventing risk, its topics are designed to ensure that all staff receive thorough and effective training.

Delivered in 30-minute sections the Academy focuses on the practical implications of a range of compliance topics. Crucially each module includes quiz-style tests throughout each module to ensure that every individual has understood the training and can put the required actions resulting in to use as soon as they return to their everyday work.

Users are able to access the training online at a time and in a location to suit them via a secure log in facility and ‘super users’ or administrators at the client firm are granted rights to enable records and test results to be recorded and stored centrally. Current users report that this has saved significant amounts of time both in terms of not taking time of out of the working day for staff to physically attend training sessions; but also by reducing the admin surrounding the organisation, delivery, record keeping and ‘chasing’ that is typically involved in ensuring the consistent delivery of training.

Complaints Handling Service

The Legal Eye Complaints Handling Service provides comprehensive support to law firms in the management of complaints, complaints monitoring and improvement activities.

This service is particularly helpful to firms providing services in the private client or residential conveyancing fields, and even more so where they are delivering this service on a high volume basis. It can also be helpful for firms without a dedicated ‘risk manager’ or ‘complaints handler’, or where the firm will benefit from an independent review of the complaint.

This service can be provided on a ‘one off’ basis or as a fully outsourced service.

The fully outsourced Complaints Handling Service includes:

  • A review of the firm’s complaints handling procedures
  • Review of 12 months’ complaints data to identify key issues
  • Management of the complaint resolution process (in line with the complaints handling procedures) including:
    • Review of the complaint details, taking into consideration the service issues referred to and the Legal Ombudsman scheme rules;
    • Review of the file to which the complaint relates;
    • Provide a recommended response and course of action to the firm.
  • Maintenance of the firm’s complaints register
  • Regular reporting, including trends and root cause analysis
