Paul Saunders / Managing Director
Paul was appointed Managing Director of Legal Eye in 2016 after 28 years as a solicitor in the Legal Profession. During his time in practice Paul has been at Board level in a number of firms including roles as CEO and COLP for 5 years at a large Midlands law firm and most recently as Head of Lender Services and Residential at Shakespeare Martineau. He was also Director of an IT firm for 5 years supplying services to the legal industry. Earlier in his career Paul worked quasi in-house providing legal services to the UK operation of a world-wide leading automotive manufacturer including management of a European legal panel dealing with cross border negotiations.
Paul has wide experience in relation to management and strategic planning of law firms and businesses across industries including tendering and operational control of a bulk remortgaging facility to a top 5 Building Society for 20 years and providing legal services to lending institutions both direct and through panel.
His expertise within the legal profession has been recognised by several awards including Legal Professional of the Year at the FirstPro awards in 2014 and being shortlisted for Business Leader – Conveyancing at the British Mortgage Awards in 2016.

Priya Anand Patel / Director, Assurance and Risk
Priya is a solicitor specialising in risk management and compliance support for law firms and businesses within the legal profession. She has been a fundamental component to the growth of Legal Eye since she joined its founder in January 2012.
Priya’s legal background and wealth of experience in risk management has made her an expert in the team and invaluable asset to the businesses she works with.
Priya started her legal career in a regional firm over 12 years ago before joining a niche city practice. She subsequently joined a Lexcel accredited firm in London where she qualified as a solicitor in 2008 and went on to becoming a Partner in January 2010.
Since then Priya has taken a keen interest in compliance within the profession and works with a variety of legal practices, from in house legal departments, regional & high street firms to large corporate firms in London as well as other businesses and service providers within the industry.
Priya supports firms with basic compliance needs and is also involved with complex ventures including conversions, new entities, alternative business structures, new services and is very passionate about innovation and the risk management frameworks in which they operate.
Priya’s friendly and pragmatic approach, extensive experience and infinite technical knowledge provides an excellent footing to advise and support a wide range of clients.
Outside of work Priya enjoys the Formula 1, playing squash and badminton and occasionally a round of golf!

Loschinee Naidoo / Director of Compliance and Risk
After qualifying as an Attorney in South Africa in 2001, Loschinee embarked to the UK in 2002, whereby she worked for a leading gas company, Fulcrum Connections, dealing with adherence and compliance with gas care regulations. In 2004, Loschinee returned to South Africa to open her own legal practice in Durban, South Africa, which she successfully ran for a period of 6 years. In 2009, Loschinee moved to London, where she was based at London City airport, undertaking commercial and corporate work. In 2010, she joined a leading law firm in Mayfair, London, as Legal Services Manager. Loschinee was responsible for all compliance and regulatory procedures within the firm, management of solicitors and paralegals, business development and attaining of Lexcel for the firm. In 2011, Loschinee joined a niche International Law Firm, as Legal Services Manager. Loschinee was responsible for regulatory and compliance procedures on a national and international standard, working in over 40 countries. From 2012 to 2013, Loschinee has assisted various London based law firms in terms of all aspects of Outcomes Focused Regulations, Risk and Compliance in terms of SRA Code of Conduct. Loschinee joined Legal Eye Limited in June 2013. Her current role as Director of Compliance and Risk Management reports directly to the Managing Director and which positioning enables her to work closely with the senior management team in terms of improving, creating and implementing new processes, products and services, in recognition of Legal Eye’s commitment to providing our clients with the most robust risk and compliant solutions that are available, in order to aid in firm’s risk management processes, especially in an ever changing regulatory legal landscape. Jody Evans / Director of Business Development
Starting her career in the legal sector during 2007, Jody Evans was recruited to support a leading executive led law firm in the delivery of ambitious growth plans through law firm acquisition.
Jody took responsibility for heading the Risk and Compliance Team in 2012, with her prime focus being on the introduction of an effective risk and compliance framework across multiple locations and legal disciplines at a time of continuous change.
She went on to manage projects which included the successful application for the firm to move to an Alternative Business Structure status, leading the firm to become accredited to industry leading Quality (ISO 9001) and Information Security (ISO 27001) standards across all locations, as well as the delivery of a firm-wide risk and compliance training and awareness programme.
Passionate about further developing her experience, 2016 saw Jody move into the role of Chief Risk and Compliance Officer for an executive led private equity backed legal services provider. Here, her key focus was to create a risk and compliance framework spanning five regulated and unregulated businesses.
Working with the managing directors and Chief Executive, she identified and prioritised the mitigation of areas of vulnerability across the group, leading to the creation of a Group level risk and compliance framework. Ahead of the May 2018 implementation of the GDPR, Jody introduced a project steering group, process changes, training and awareness to help the business prepare effectively.
Jody’s in-depth legal experience and compliance knowledge enables her to effectively support the Legal Eye Team and set out distinct strategic goals in her role as Director of Business Development.

Dawn Stone / Business Development Manager
Dawn has over 15 years experience in Sales, Business Development and Account Management, working in a variety of market sectors. Since 2008 Dawn has worked as an account manager for two leading conveyancing companies and panel managers (Easier2move and myhomemove), dealing with Lenders, Estate Agents, Financial Services and Legal Firms. Emma has over 13 years experience working within the Financial Services, Insurance Services and latterly the Legal Industry delivering results from idea generation through to formal launch and beyond. Prior to joining Legal Eye, Emma enjoyed a successful career within a FTSE 50 Financial Services company. Her main responsibilities included developing and leading high level strategic Projects, implementing changes with a view to developing and improving business procedures resulting in improved business efficiencies. Emma has extensive experience in evaluation and managing external market pressures and changes in regulation to bring benefit to the long term success of companies. By taking an outwards-in approach Emma provides practical advice to her clients.

Helen Glaze / Senior Compliance Manager
Helen commenced her legal career as a trainee legal executive with a large multi-office regional law practice in Staffordshire, where she later qualified as a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives. Keen to further her legal knowledge and career, Helen took a career break to return to University and qualified as a solicitor in November 2001. During her time in practice, Helen specialised in personal injury litigation including high value road traffic accident cases as well as EL and PL cases and assisted with solicitors’ negligence cases. For the past 4 years, Helen has specialised in risk and compliance work with an outsourced provider of services to the legal profession where she headed up the audit team. She has specialist knowledge and expertise in assisting firms with file reviews enabling them to gain the maximum business benefits from this now mandatory requirement. Since the introduction of outcomes focused regulation, she has taken a keen interest in the development of the Code of Conduct as well as the role and responsibilities of the COLP. Adam Sweatman / IT and Customer Quality Manager
Having shown an interest in the legal sector from the start of his career, Adam joined a Private Client Team straight out of education. During his time as a professional administrator at the firm, Adam simultaneously obtained the ILEX qualification, enabling him to quickly build a firm understanding of the industry.
From here, he then moved within the firm to the IT team, developing his technological skills and honing his understanding of the role that IT has to play within a legal business structure. Hoping to develop his legal knowledge and show his commitment to the role, Adam stayed with the company following a takeover, moving to the team’s new IT office in Stratford.
In 2016, he progressed to the firm’s Volume Remortgage team, appointed at “Quality and Customer Services Manager”. Passionate about building communication and streamlining business workflows, here he was responsible for building efficient processes and procedures for the remortgage team.

Norman Denton / Senior Associate and Compliance Consultant
Norman is a highly experienced, Business Development and Relationship Management professional, delivering business improvement solutions with the owners of small and medium sized businesses for over 15 years. A very strong financial background is underpinned by his depth of all-round business experience. Susan Faulkner / Senior Compliance Manager
Joining in the role of Senior Compliance manager, Susan who is based in the Midlands, is set to bring with her over two decades of industry experience.
Having qualified as a Solicitor in 1997, Susan initially worked as a family law practitioner before retraining to do private client work. Susan has worked at both small provincial and larger city firms during her career in private practice. Susan has also worked at the Solicitors Regulation Authority where she set out dealing with service and conduct complaints, and carried out regulatory investigations. During her time at the SRA, Susan carried out 2 of the largest investigations into individual firms, when issues regarding their service, conduct and regulation were raised. Susan also has extensive experience of carrying out regulatory inspections at firms in England and Wales, whilst heading the specialist team dealing with high-risk firms at the SRA.Passionate about developing her experience in risk and compliance, Susan went on to advise COLPs, COFAs and AMLROs, before becoming a Compliance Solicitor at a large Northern based firm. Having worked in a range of legal environments, Susan has obtained a broad level of experience in all aspects of complaints handling, regulation, risk and compliance. Being a member of the SRA’s team for over ten years also enabled Susan to build a strong understanding of the Solicitor’s Accounts Rules, as well as her own experience of drafting policies and procedures in a number of different capacities.

Nimesh Ganatra / Compliance Manager
Joining in the role of Compliance Manager, Nimesh Ganatra – who will be based in the Midlands – is set to bring a wide range of industry experience to the role. Following completion of the Legal Practice Course, Nimesh was appointed as Team Leader in the Lender Services Department of a nationally renowned firm. This required working collaboratively with a top 5 Building Society, in order to successfully coordinate and oversee the progress of a remortgage completion.
Before joining the Legal Eye team, Nimesh continued to enhance his knowledge of the industry by working as a Risk and Compliance officer at a top 500 firm. As well as build his experience of working within a range of legal environments, his time here also provided the opportunity to coordinate a Lexcel maintenance visit, taking on additional responsibilities and preparation duties.

Rachel MacLeod / Associate
Rachel MacLeod started her legal career as an Office Junior in a local two Partner firm, quickly progressing to Legal Secretary and then into a Conveyancing Case Handler position, looking after up to 100 live case files from instruction through to completion. During this time Rachel also trained and worked as a Legal Cashier. Rachel founded Pencil Case in 2010, a flexible secretarial service for law firms and also provides secretarial and administrative support as an Associate of Legal Eye.

Priscilla Sinder / Compliance Consultant / Associate
Priscilla is a Solicitor specialising in Residential Conveyancing. Her career has allowed her to branch into risk management at a very early stage of her career. Within her 12 years of practice Priscilla has carried out managerial duties, in-house and in private practice, from large practices to niche London firms.
In 2007 as part of a secondment Priscilla created and developed a successful case management system, so she was able to transfer her legal skills into a predominately IT based environment.
In 2012 Priscilla became a partner of a niche London law firm and secured a major contract with a large chain of Estate Agents, increasing the firms revenue by over 50%. Priscilla became well known in the London property market with the local agents and she quickly became the first point of call for Estate Agents, who were faced with legal issues.
In 2014 Priscilla became a Director of a top 20 nationwide law firm. She headed a brand new office where she undertook further risk management and compliance duties, along-side her directorship duties.

Clive Hook / Associate
Clive was appointed as Associate in 2017 following a successful ten-year career in Practice Management and LEXCEL Consultancy. Whilst the focus of his role was to ensure the maintenance of law firm’s LEXCEL accreditations, Clive’s time working at a number of different organisations enabled him to develop skills in a range of other related areas. With extensive knowledge of current SRA regulations, accounts and management techniques as well as compliance requirements, Clive brings his experience of assisting law firms who are struggling to keep up-to-date with regulatory requirements. During his time as an independent consultant, Clive supported a firm to allow then to obtain their re-accreditation under the LEXCEL 6 standard absent of any minor or major non-compliance. Clive also has experience in managing IT operations, and as well as being a qualified LEXCEL consultant, and also has internal audit qualifications for ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 which he can assist with the founding and implementation of. These are both highly valued standards for firms, especially in the run up to the General Data Protection Regulation being implemented.
