Paul Saunders / Managing Director

Paul has been at Board level of a number of Solicitor firms, most recently as Head of Lender Services and Residential at Shakespeare Martineau, and prior to that CEO and COLP for 5 years at a large Midlands law firm, he was also a Director of an IT firm for 5 years supplying to the legal industry. As a result he has wide experience in relation to management and strategic planning of law firms and business across industries. Paul’s extensive experience includes tendering and the legal provision of services to lending institutions including operational control of a bulk remortgaging facility proving legal services to a top 5 Building Society for 20 years and other lenders direct and through panel. During his time at Shakespeare Martineau they won a number of industry awards and in 2016 Paul was shortlisted for Business Leader – Conveyancing at the British Mortgage Awards and was Legal Professional of the year at the FirstPro awards in 2014. Earlier in his career Paul worked quasi In-House for 9 years providing legal services to the UK facilities of a world-wide leading Automotive Manufacturer, both Aftermarket and OE. Including management of a European wide legal panel which included considerable European work-related travel on cross boarder negotiations.

Jaunita Gobby / Founder

Jaunita Gobby has extensive experience in the Legal Services Industry, gained from practicing in South Africa and the United Kingdom. After leaving private practice, she worked within a UK Property Legal Services Company for 6 years heading up their Remortgage and Transactional Services department where she was responsible for areas including best practice, service reviews and the auditing of over 350 law firms. Jaunita is an expert in transactional and volume legal services, and has played a leading role in developing best practice and risk management within the remortgage and conveyancing industry.

Loschinee Naidoo / Director of Compliance and Risk

After qualifying as an Attorney in South Africa in 2001, Loschinee embarked to the UK in 2002, whereby she worked for a leading gas company, Fulcrum Connections, dealing with adherence and compliance with gas care regulations. In 2004, Loschinee returned to South Africa to open her own legal practice in Durban, South Africa, which she successfully ran for a period of 6 years. In 2009, Loschinee moved to London, where she was based at London City airport, undertaking commercial and corporate work. In 2010, she joined a leading law firm in Mayfair, London, as Legal Services Manager. Loschinee was responsible for all compliance and regulatory procedures within the firm, management of solicitors and paralegals, business development and attaining of Lexcel for the firm. In 2011, Loschinee joined a niche International Law Firm, as Legal Services Manager. Loschinee was responsible for regulatory and compliance procedures on a national and international standard, working in over 40 countries. From 2012 to 2013, Loschinee has assisted various London based law firms in terms of all aspects of Outcomes Focused Regulations, Risk and Compliance in terms of SRA Code of Conduct. Loschinee joined Legal Eye Limited in June 2013. Her current role as Director of Compliance and Risk Management reports directly to the Managing Director and which positioning enables her to work closely with the senior management team in terms of improving, creating and implementing new processes, products and services, in recognition of Legal Eye’s commitment to providing our clients with the most robust risk and compliant solutions that are available, in order to aid in firm’s risk management processes, especially in an ever changing regulatory legal landscape. Loschinee’s extensive legal and compliance knowledge coupled with her friendly, simplistic, humane, professional demeanour allows her to support the Legal Eye Team and to assist law firms of all sizes.

Priya Anand Patel

Priya Anand Patel started her legal career in a regional firm before joining a niche city practice. She subsequently joined a longstanding, Lexcel Accredited firm in London where she became a Partner in January 2010. Since then Priya has taken a keen interest in Compliance within the profession and joined Legal Eye in January 2012 to help develop and expand the Legal Eye team whilst bringing a wealth of experience from both a compliance and legal background. Priya works with a variety of legal practices, from in house legal departments, regional & high street firms to large corporate firms in London. Priya’s insight into legal practice provides an excellent footing in optimising best practice and performance for a wide range clients.

Rhonda Treacy-Hales / Director of Business Development

Rhonda joined Legal Eye in April 2013 as a Compliance Associate and was promoted to Head of Business Development in May 2015. Rhonda works with a range of law firms, from sole practitioners to multi partner practices, solicitors and licensed conveyancers, setting up the systems and processes required to comply with their Codes of Conduct as well as supporting them in achieving industry standards such as CQS, Lexcel and the Legal Eye Quality Standard.

In addition, Rhonda supports the expanding Legal Eye associate team in a variety of ways including coordinating seminars and events to speak at. You will see Rhonda speaking on the subject of compliance and risk management at events across the year.

Dawn Stone / Business Development Manager

Dawn has over 15 years experience in Sales, Business Development and Account Management, working in a variety of market sectors. Since 2008 Dawn has worked as an account manager for two leading conveyancing companies and panel managers (Easier2move and myhomemove), dealing with Lenders, Estate Agents, Financial Services and Legal Firms. During that time Dawn has been responsible for key accounts within the business, and has contributed significantly to key projects where compliance is at the core.

Emma Robins / Legal Project Manager

Emma has over 13 years experience working within the Financial Services, Insurance Services and latterly the Legal Industry delivering results from idea generation through to formal launch and beyond. Prior to joining Legal Eye, Emma enjoyed a successful career within a FTSE 50 Financial Services company. Her main responsibilities included developing and leading high level strategic Projects, implementing changes with a view to developing and improving business procedures resulting in improved business efficiencies. Emma has extensive experience in evaluation and managing external market pressures and changes in regulation to bring benefit to the long term success of companies. By taking an outwards-in approach Emma provides practical advice to her clients.

Helen Glaze / Senior Compliance Manager

Helen commenced her legal career as a trainee legal executive with a large multi-office regional law practice in Staffordshire, where she later qualified as a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives. Keen to further her legal knowledge and career, Helen took a career break to return to University and qualified as a solicitor in November 2001. During her time in practice, Helen specialised in personal injury litigation including high value road traffic accident cases as well as EL and PL cases and assisted with solicitors’ negligence cases. For the past 4 years, Helen has specialised in risk and compliance work with an outsourced provider of services to the legal profession where she headed up the audit team. She has specialist knowledge and expertise in assisting firms with file reviews enabling them to gain the maximum business benefits from this now mandatory requirement. Since the introduction of outcomes focused regulation, she has taken a keen interest in the development of the Code of Conduct as well as the role and responsibilities of the COLP. Helen is a qualified Lexcel Consultant.

Norman Denton / Senior Associate and Compliance Consultant

Norman is a highly experienced, Business Development and Relationship Management professional, delivering business improvement solutions with the owners of small and medium sized businesses for over 15 years. A very strong financial background is underpinned by his depth of all-round business experience. When combined with his ability to objectively review a business, its leaders and market position this ensures a high level of stakeholder satisfaction. Norman holds an ILM Level 7 Certificate in Executive Coaching & Mentoring. He gained Lexcel Consultant status in 2010 and has considerable experience of working with the legal profession. Norman regularly presents around the country on the themes of Risk Management, Getting your Outward Facing documents Compliant and Risk Management processes for a COLP. He has written several recent articles on the impact of OFR and ABS and is currently working with a number of firms either improving their Compliance procedures or supporting them on their journey to Lexcel and the Legal Eye Quality Standard.

Julie Gough / Compliance Consultant / Associate

After leaving school in 1991 Julie joined a local firm of solicitors as a conveyancing assistant. In 1992 she commenced her Ilex studies to become a Legal Executive and became an associate member of the Institute of Legal Executives in 1995. Julie practiced within law firms until 2004 and thereafter trained as a Lexcel Assessor. Julie is an Assessor for the following Assessment Centres: EMQC, Tan and Centre for Assessment. Julie now specialises in Lexcel Accreditation, compliance and file reviews and utilises her wealth of experience and knowledge as an Assessor to the benefit of our clients.

Rachel MacLeod / Associate

Rachel MacLeod started her legal career as an Office Junior in a local two Partner firm, quickly progressing to Legal Secretary and then into a Conveyancing Case Handler position, looking after up to 100 live case files from instruction through to completion. During this time Rachel also trained and worked as a Legal Cashier. Rachel founded Pencil Case in 2010, a flexible secretarial service for law firms and also provides secretarial and administrative support as an Associate of Legal Eye.

Ayishah Khalil / Compliance Consultant / Associate

Commencing her career in property law at Shoosmiths, a large national law firm. Ayishah gained invaluable experience in handling legal matters from inception to completion. Ayishah subsequently moved to a Lexcel accredited Legal 500 firm where she qualified as a specialist matrimonial solicitor. It was essential in her role that she was able to demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively at all levels so that she could explain complex legal matters to clients and represent them at court. Ayishah’s calm, friendly approach, coupled with her exceptional client care and legal knowledge has assisted in her achievements. Ayishah played a critical part in the development of Lexcel compliant practices and procedures which resulted in Lexcel accreditation of the firm. Ayishah is well versed in the compliance and regulatory framework which governs the profession. Her strong legal background and awareness of the ever changing procedures and rules means that she is well placed to assist others. Her past experiences highlight the importance of best practice and have led to her increased interest in compliance.

Tina Gosal / Compliance Consultant /Associate

Prior to qualifying as a solicitor Tina worked as a Legal Compliance Officer and Quality Assurance Manager and excelled within this position achieving the highest standard awarded by the regulatory body in her areas of responsibility. Tina dealt with the introduction, implementation and adaptation of policies and procedures relevant to the company and ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation. Tina has subsequently practiced within two Legal 500, Lexcel Accredited firms and is Member of Resolution and has completed Part 1 of the Resolution Accreditation process enabling her to practice as a specialist matrimonial Solicitor. Tina has always had a keen interest in all aspects of compliance within the legal sector and her vast range of transferrable skills allow her to identify best practice and compliance issues within the legal profession.

Karen Babington / Consultant

Karen has over 20 years experience in the legal, property and mortgage market. Starting her career at Birmingham Midshires she has since worked in a number of senior management positions which include three leading Conveyancing Panel Management companies. In 2000 Karen co-founded legal panel management firm Easier2Move before selling to MyHomeMove in 2010 when she took up the role of Corporate Sales Director. In 2007 Karen won the inaugural British Mortgage Awards for Business Leader – Conveyancing. Karen has extensive experience in sales and marketing for legal firms across a range of channels including lender, estate agency, financial services and direct to consumer.

David Kempster / Consultant

David is working with Legal Eye to grow the brand presence and market penetration of its services. He has extensive experience in the legal services marketplace with law firms and search resellers, having been previously Sales and Marketing Director at SearchFlow and Marketing Manager at Landmark. Prior to this, he built a successful career in senior sales and marketing roles in the RAC and Pitney Bowes, as well as starting and exiting a high growth internet business. He established Clear Edge Communications to provide a full service marketing and PR consultancy to businesses of all sizes. Offering many years experience within legal services marketing, he has built a strong reputation in the legal and property industries for delivering successful marketing strategies and effective communications to drive growth.
